ICAEW is a world-leading professional membership organisation that trains, develops and supports over 149,000 chartered accountants in more than 160 countries around the world.
Our chartered accountancy qualification, the ACA, is one of the most advanced learning and professional development programmes available. It is designed to make sure that you develop all the skills you need to get your career off to the best start.
A variety of organisations offer the opportunity to train for the ACA qualification straight after A-Levels (or equivalent). These school leaver programmes typically take 3 – 5 years to complete and combine work with study, so you’ll have the opportunity to earn while you learn. What’s more, you could qualify as an ICAEW Chartered Accountant by the time you’re 21!
The good news is, there’s more than one route to becoming an ICAEW Chartered Accountant. If you’re bright, ambitious and want to kick-start your career, there are plenty of exciting alternatives to university for you to consider:
- ICAEW Certificate in Finance, Accounting and Business (ICAEW CFAB);
- Two apprenticeship programmes from ICAEW;
- School leaver programmes; and
- AAT – ACA Fast Track programme
