The Army has the largest and most extensive paid apprenticeship programme in the country, with 8,000 completing their training each year.

As part of a nationally-recognised scheme, it offers variety and value, with soldiers gaining key work experience as they train to become experts in their field. The programme features apprenticeships in over 40 different careers, including engineering, construction, driving, animal care and technology based roles.

While each apprentice receives military training as part of the scheme, an Army Apprenticeship isn’t about being in the battlefield. It’s about having an opportunity to try new things, make lifelong friends, build transferable skills and earn qualifications valued by civilian employers. By becoming an Army Apprentice, you can take charge and prepare for your own future.
