Apprenticeships – Get In. Go Far with Devon County Council
If you cannot wait for your career to start, and you have the motivation to work hard, gain nationally recognised qualifications and practical skills, while also earning a salary, our two-year apprenticeship programmes could be just right for you.
We run a number of apprenticeships for the right candidates and our Apprenticeship Scheme currently offers opportunities to undertake qualifications in Business Administration, Customer Service, ICT and Civil Engineering.
One of the advantages of working for a Council is that we encompass a wide range of services and therefore roles and professions. Our apprentices have worked in the following business areas in the past; Public Health, ICT Services, Finance, Highways, Registration of Births, Death and Marriages Service; Human Resources, Customer Services, Waste Management and Environment Services. Most placements are based in Exeter or Tiverton but can include other areas too.
At the end of the programme we will help you to combine your skills and qualifications to apply for permanent employment here.
Opportunities are advertised throughout the summer; register your interest by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or follow us on Twitter @DCCApprentices to keep up to date with all the latest news and events.
