Harrogate Borough Council is responsible for looking after the district and the people who live there. The council works with other public and voluntary sector bodies, including the health service and police to protect and support the people, the environment and the economy of the district. One of the advantages of working for a council is that we cover a wide range of services and have a broad variety of roles and professions. In the past, our apprentices have worked in Customer Services, ICT, Human Resources, Parks and Environment Services, In-House Maintenance, Planning and Development and Motor Transport. Most placements are based in Harrogate, but they can include other areas like Ripon, Knaresborough and Pateley Bridge.
